Culture, Arts and Heritage Minister Datuk Mohd Shafie Apdal has been appointed the United Sabah Bajau Organisation (USBO) adviser for the 2008-2010 term at the organisation's 20th annual general meeting here Saturday.Former Chief Minister Datuk Seri Salleh Said, who has been heading the organisation since 2006, retained his post as USBO president.Newly-appointed Dewan Rakyat Speaker Tan Sri Pandikar Amin Mulia, formerly the secretary-general, was elected Deputy President I while Datuk Amirkahar Tun Mustapha and Chendramata Sinteh was elected Deputy President II and Deputy President III respectively.USBO, formerly known as the United Sabah Bajau Association, is a non-governmental organisation which protects the interest of the Bajau community.The Bajau has 12 sub-ethnics namely Sama, Iranun, Suluk, Binadan or Banaran, Ubian, Sama Delaut, Sibutu, Sikubung, Simunul, Samal, Yakan and Jama Mapun.-- BERNAMA
